My Personal Review
I studied all of the features and read many reviews on all of the main key automation aoftware platforms in the market.
Some were very costly and more aimed at large corporations, some were overly complex and some were just plain bad for usability.
Many had a heap of added value features, (and they were good if you used all of them) – BUT I didn’t see the benefit of paying more for something when I would only be using a third of their capabilities…. I just wanted the key components of marketing automation!
Each time I looked at the comparisons ActiveCampaign came in on top, especially with the the pricing, it’s affordable and better still, it was well thought out and easy to use.
I thought it would be very suitable for a SME’s, like us.
One key point made by ActiveCampaign themselves –
They didn’t try to do more than just being a ‘very good and comprehensive marketing automation software platform”.
They also made sure they had a very good API. That API now connects with the over 200+ apps and integrations, many natively, and some using Zapier. We found that gives us a very cost effective automation platform that suits SMEs, with the added benefit and flexibility to use any of the other apps and software integrations as and when we need them.
The most commonly used links are – WordPress, Facebook, Xero, Google Analytics, Shopify, SalesForce, Woo-Commerce and many more.
I did a few more things to finish my research.
I had found some off shore automation agencies, I was cheeky enough to make contact with some of them, some agencies where quite helpful in sharing information with me, some were using multiple software platforms so they gave me their opinion on what software was best for what. Then I even managed to make contact directly with some of their customers to see what they thought of ActiveCampaign.
The personal reviews I got were excellent, some had used other software before going to AC – So my conclusion was, It was the best choice for us… We dived in… and it’s been great!!!
